Omeruo, Ideye may start against Ethiopia
Ideye 1Kenneth Omeruo may return to the Super Eagles
starting 11, to reignite his central defence partnership with Godfrey Oboabona,
when Nigeria faces Ethiopia on Saturday.
Omeruo, who has been out with a dislocated shoulder
that required surgery, looked sharp in his first training session with the
team. Brown Ideye, who started on the bench against the Walya Antelopes in
Addis Ababa, also looks set to start the game, especially with Nnamdi Oduamadi
struggling with illness.
Ideye has recovered from the groin problem that kept
him out of action for Dinamo Kyiv and looked dangerous, as he linked up well
with Emmanuel Emenike in attack. The rest of the team are expected to keep
their places.
