Jose Mourinho has verbally agreed to
make a sensational Chelsea return in the summer, according to reports.
The Daily Star claims the Real Madrid
chief is set to earn £12million-a-year at Stamford Bridge, after agent Jorge
Mendes brokered a deal with Blues owner Roman Abramovich and his team of
advisers.
Reports in Spain suggest Medes has
spent the past week in the English capital, and has reached agreement on a
three-year deal that also gives Mourinho freedom in the transfer market.
And, as one of his first acts on
return to Chelsea, the 50-year-old will look to bring Hulk to west London,
according to the report.
In a move that could have huge
ramifications for the future of Fernando Torres, ‘the special one’ has set his
sights on a player who can provide the sort of power that Didier Drogba once
did on arrival from Marseille back in 2004.
However, the Brazilian hitman won’t
come cheap for Chelsea, having joined Zenit St Petersburg for £42million back
in September.
But, Abramovich has close connections
to the Russian outfit, the paper claims, which could be a potentially decisive
factor in their pursuit of the player.
Chelsea want a final decision on the
offer on June 1st at the latest
